K-Beauty products, including eye creams, are popular among shoppers (and Good Housekeeping editors) for a reason. Korean eye creams feature innovative formulas derived from superstar ingredients like niacinamide and retinol. Not only can they help depuff and brighten your dark circles, but many Korean skincare brands are affordable too so you can improve the appearance of your skin without sacrificing your budget.
Beauty experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute evaluate K-Beauty products across categories including Korean sunscreens, eye creams, serums, face moisturizers and more. To narrow down our selections of the best K-Beauty eye creams, we consulted formulas from previously evaluated brands and interviewed a board-certified dermatologist to gather more insight on what key ingredients to consider.

Perhaps best known for its cult-favorite Lip Sleeping Mask, Laneige is a popular skincare brand among GH beauty editors. The Amorepacific-owned company sells a range of hydrating products including moisturizers, face masks and, of course, eye cream. The Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Eye Cream costs a pretty penny, but a little tends to go a long way when it comes to eye creams.
It's formulated with nourishing coconut oil and the brand's propriety blue hyaluronic acid is meant to absorb into the skin faster to help lock in long-lasting hydration. The cream may also help depuff and brighten your undereye area. It holds the Amazon's Choice badge and one five-star reviewer writes, "This cream took my eyes from dry and flaky, to soft and supple."
Size: 0.5 oz | Key Ingredients: Yerba mate, caffeine, hyaluronic acid, glycerin
Who it's best for: Anyone shopping on a budget will appreciate this under $6 eye gel that is formulated with caffeine to energize your eyes as much as your morning coffee.
Good Molecules is a US-founded brand that manufactures its products in Korea. Multiple GH staffers use its Yerba Mate Wake Up Eye Gel, one of the brand's best-sellers. It's formulated with yerba mate to help energize and brighten tired or puffy eyes. I use a tiny amount each morning and find the eye gel helps smooth and brighten my undereyes. I have even recommended it to friends seeking an affordable way to address undereye concerns.

This eye cream is loaded with all the beneficial ingredients you want in an eye cream: niacinamide to brighten, and glycerin and squalane to moisturize. Additional powerhouse ingredients include several peptides and adenosine to help improve skin’s elasticity by promoting collagen production.
We like that the Collagen Lifting Eye Cream features a metal applicator for a subtle cooling effect you'll appreciate in the morning. You can also use the product around your eye and on your forehead and lips, making it a better value purchase. TIRTIR came onto the scene in Seoul, South Korea in 2015 and has since garnered a reputation for its top-performing products.
Size: 0.5 oz | Key Ingredients: Caffeine, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C, adenosine, squalane, collagen
Who it's best for: If your main concern is depuffing your eyes after a poor night's sleep, this eye gel contains revitalizing ingredients and an applicator to cool your skin.
Belif prioritizes hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and squalane to plump skin and promotes a healthy skin barrier. The Aqua Bomb Depuffing Eye Gel is also formulated with caffeine to depuff your eyes and features a ceramic applicator to cool and energize your undereyes. Vitamin C helps brighten dark circles while adenosine helps plump your skin. The brand claims that the eye gel will improve the overall look of eye bags over time.
The Aqua Bomb collection is popular with online shoppers and consumer testers alike and our experts even gave the Jelly Cleanser a GH Beauty Award.

Size: 1 oz | Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, bifida biome, peptides
Who it's best for: Those concerned about sagging skin near their eyes will benefit from this concentrated eye cream that is formulated to firm your undereyes.
Many eye creams, serums and moisturizers contain hyaluronic acid, but not every product contains a total of 10 types of hyaluronic acids to hydrate skin. The impressive ingredient list doesn't end there. The Bifida Biome Concentrate Eye Cream also contains eight peptides to help firm skin and the titular Bifida Biome is made up of probiotics, vitamins and proteins to improve your skin barrier. All of these ingredients work to firm and brighten saggy undereyes.
Size: 0.5 oz | Key Ingredients: Vitamin C, guava fruit extract, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, green caffeine
Who it's best for: The beauty-obsessed will want to add this gorgeous bottle to their vanity collection — along with anyone looking to brighten their dark circles.
You may have come across Glow Recipe on social media once or twice — or perhaps the teenager at home has requested it as a birthday present. Popular among both teens and adults, Glow Recipe products are meant to leave your skin glowy and dewy.
The Guava Vitamin C Bright-Eye Gel Cream features delicious ingredients that target all your undereye concerns. Vitamin C, guava fruit extract and niacinamide work to brighten dark circles while peptides and green caffeine help depuff and firm your skin. The brand says you can use it around your entire eye area including your eyelids and the inner and outer corners.

Size: 1 oz | Key Ingredients: Ginseng extract, retinal, niacinamide
Who it's best for: Shoppers concerned with fine lines or wrinkles under their eyes may benefit from this retinal-containing eye serum that prioritizes youthful results.
Our beauty experts have included Beauty of Joseon products in multiple of our shopping guides including the best niacinamide serums. The brand combines traditional Korean herbal medicine techniques with modern formulations. Ginseng extract improves skin's elasticity while retinal encourages skin to renew itself, thereby minimizing the appearance of fine lines.
The Revive Eye Serum is also half the price (if not less) than many of our picks in this guide — plus you can apply the product around your lips, forehead, neck and cheeks. As with all skincare products that contain retinoids, our beauty experts caution shoppers with sensitive skin you may find the ingredient irritating. The brand reminds shoppers to pair any retinal- or retinol-containing product with SPF.

Size: 0.84 oz | Key Ingredients: Snail mucin, niacinamide, peptides, adenosine
Who it's best for: Those with drier skin may benefit from this ultra-hydrating cream featuring snail mucin to better lock in moisture.
CosRx is popular both for its affordable price point as well as the brand's use of snail mucin in its products. The buzzy ingredient is meant to hydrate and repair your skin barrier. The Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream is formulated with almost 75% snail mucin along with niacinamide to brighten dark circles and adenosine to firm wrinkles and fine lines. While CosRx claims the cream is lightweight, a staffer who uses snail mucin notes that it can be thick and somewhat sticky.

My current favorite product from Dr.Jart+ is its Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment, but the brand is popular for other skincare essentials like sheet masks, moisturizers and more. The Ceramidin Skin Barrier Moisturizing Eye Cream reduces the look of fine lines and puffiness without irritating skin, according to the brand. It has a rich formula and creamy texture that moisturizes skin without leaving behind a greasy feeling.

Size: 0.5 oz | Key Ingredients: Niacinamide, caffeine
Who it's best for: We recommend eye creams with an applicator for shoppers who feel rushed in the morning and want to brighten their eyes without getting product on their fingers.
Our best overall pick for pimple patches, Hero Cosmetics is a favorite among dermatologists, estheticians and GH staffers. Its Illuminating Eye Cream features a stainless steel applicator that feels cool on your skin and ensures a smooth application. Niacinamide and caffeine help brighten dark undereyes while light-reflecting pearl pigments are meant to create a luminous effect. Who it's best for: Another great option for individuals looking to help depuff their undereyes.
Innisfree incorporates natural ingredients such as green tea with active ingredients to create dynamic formulas such as its Bright-Eye Serum. Green tea, an antioxidant, and five types of hyaluronic acid hydrate skin, while niacinamide addresses dark undereyes. Meanwhile caffeine and a roller ball massager help to depuff your eyes. It has a lightweight formula and is fragrance-free, good for folks with sensitive skin. The brand recommends shoppers store the serum in the fridge for even more cooling effects.
Size: 0.5 oz | Key Ingredients: Ginseng actives and peptides, ginseng flower extract with retinol
Who it's best for: Shoppers who are looking to splurge on a luxe eye product will enjoy applying Sulwhasoo's innovative Renewing Eye Cream.
We will state the obvious: $140 is a lot to spend on an eye cream. But if you want to splurge on a luxurious and lightweight formulation, then there is no better option than Sulwhasoo's Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Eye Cream. It contains ginseng actives and peptides to improve your skin's youthful glow, minimizing the look of fine lines and boosting elasticity.
Contributing Writer and Analyst Jamie Ueda is a big fan of the brand, explaining that the products "moisturize my skin well and don't irritate my skin or clog my pores." While this eye cream is an investment in your skincare regimen, you don't need to apply a lot of product per use so the pot will last you a good amount of time.

How we chose the best Korean eye creams
Experts in the Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab test eye creams in the Lab and among consumer testers who are paired with a label-masked product they use for four weeks before supplying feedback on performance. In the Beauty Lab, our scientists use specialized equipment to assess skin's elasticity and hydration as well as any fine lines and before and after use of the product.
For this particular story, we researched eye creams from Korean skincare brands that we have previously evaluated and tapped GH analysts and writers for their favorite eye creams that they use in their skincare routines.
What to consider when shopping for Korean eye creams
The main factor to consider when choosing any kind of eye cream is its ingredients. Before you click "add to cart," make sure to check the ingredient label to see if the product uses key ingredients we recommend below or any ingredients your skin may be sensitive to.
"We all have our own issues we want addressed, so I would choose product ingredients that aim to target our concerns," says double board-certified dermatologist Cindy Bae, M.D. With that in mind, here are some important ingredients to consider.
✔️ Retinol is recommended if you want "to help reduce the look of fine lines," explains GH Beauty Lab Senior Chemist Danusia Wnek. While this "gold standard" ingredient can work for some, Wnek notes that retinoids (i.e. retinol and its derivatives) can cause redness and irritation.
✔️ Both niacinamide and vitamin C "can help brighten skin and reduce the look of dark circles," explains Wnek.
✔️ Peptides are great for firming sagging skin.
✔️ Humectants (think hyaluronic acid and glycerin) can offer a temporary plumping effect. If you have dry skin, hyaluronic acid can also help hydrate dry skin.
✔️ Caffeine can target puffiness.
Shoppers beware: "Do not shop with the intention of finding a face lift in a bottle," Wnek says. "Most eye creams hydrate skin and many will firm skin over four weeks but very few will actually reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles." Instead, Wnek recommends visiting a dermatologist who can prescribe a stronger treatment.
